Last week, I was travelling in Baltimore, MD and met up with a friend I had the honor of meeting about 3.5 years ago. I was speaking at an event back then…rather last minute. And, as the emcee handed me the microphone, he said “Hey Dave, we’re running a bit late. Is there any way you can deliver your presentation in less than 10 minutes?”
Now, it probably goes without saying, I had one of two options…say “no” and risk not being able to deliver my message at all or say “yes” and hit the crowd with everything I had. Well, I took a deep breath and let both barrels go!
The following year, Dr. Rob (and several others) were still blown away with that 10 minute presentation – I guess it left an impression with some. So, back to last week. I wasn’t speaking to the group; however, I was able to get some one-on-one time in with many of the attendees and Dr. Rob was one of them. I left our meeting a better man. Dr. Rob’s got great energy and an even better mind!
During his drive back to New York, Dr. Rob made a quick recording on his phone and sent it to me. It’s phenomenal to hear…he’s a quitter!
